Welcome to Ierapetra and to the Agricultural Cooperative “To Nisi”. Being the southern city of Greece and a popular tourist destination, lerapetra has won its visitors with the awarded – clean beaches and the most important ecosystem of East Mediterranean - the virgin "Chrissi" island, the thick forest of "Selakano" and the wild beauty of the mountain "Thripti".
The city's economy grew rapidly during the 1960’s, when the agricultural sector was supported for the first time in the greenhouse cultivation of early vegetables. The first wooden greenhouse was constructed in 1966 and since then a lot have been changed with high progress. The construction of the greenhouses has been developed as well as the new generation has been informed about the new methods of cultivation and the production of early vegetables.
From October to June, depart on a daily basis more than 30 refrigerated trucks to various domestic and international destinations!
